Then add 2 cups of pre-soaked rice, salt to taste and 4 cups water. If you happen to have some coconut milk, substitute a cup of water for this. Add some peas, chopped carrots and green beans if you have 'em, if not - no major difference except for some health-jollies. Cover and cook on medium-ish heat till cooked. Once done place the sliced boiled eggs on top, sprinkle some chopped coriander and eat with raita or curd or pickle or whatever is around.

PS - I added green chillies fried in ghee cause I learned this from an Anglo Indian friend's mum while making junglee pullao and who doesn’t love those fried chillies?
